According to the "Celle Family Book, Part 9, Family #16,", Andrew and Rebecca lived in Washington County, Virginia when the 1810 and 1820 census were taken. 1830 census has them living in Sullivan County, Tennessee and the 1840, 1850 and 1860 census has them living in Overton County, Tennessee. (Pickett County was formed from parts of Overton and Fentress Counties.) They "probably" had 14 children.
In the Chancery Court Minutes dated 24 Oct, 1907 - book K, Overton Co., Tennessee - a Chancery Court suit between Henry Sells and John Sells, states that Andrew Sells, then deceased "over 50 years" left "eight living children"... and also names most of his grandchildren. If Able, Abram or Henry were sons of Andrew, they must have died before Andrew did, and left no heirs. Of these three, only a Henry is listed as a grandson.
Other census records indicate the possibility of as many as 14 children, only 6 have been identified for certain and 3 other possible children have been identified.
Never married, no heirs.
