Lived in Whitmore Lake, Michigan for extended period of time.
Lena's husband was related to Admiral Byrd. Lena lived in Castro Valley, among other places. Her last years were spent in Ashland, Oregon. In her later years she wrote childrens books. One of her books was titled "Jolly Ether Land". She also made stuffed figures of the bugs portrayed in the book. The book was published by Jeslyn Manufacturing Co. of San Francisco, in 1929. She wrote a manuscript of another book titled " In Friendly Lands with Friendly Bugs".
